Terraprobe was founded in 1977, primarily to provide clients with geotechnical engineering services.
Over the years, the fully employee-owned firm expanded to deliver services in a variety of disciplines including geotechnical engineering, environmental site assessments, site remediation, risk assessment, hydrogeological assessment, construction and engineering materials inspection and testing, excavation shoring, instrumentation and monitoring as well as building science and steel inspection. We also opened satellite offices in Barrie, Sudbury and Stoney Creek (Hamilton – Niagara Region) to provide efficient, responsive services to our client base in Central and Northern Ontario.
In 2021, Terraprobe became a wholly owned subsidiary of Englobe, a Canadian industry leader in applied sciences, particularly in the fields of geoscience, environment, material testing, engineering and soil and organic waste management.
